In the newly released PWR documentary, a pivotal moment from Alex’s early esports journey takes center stage. His father recalls a defining scene at an ESL tournament in Sydney, where the atmosphere was electric. During an intense match, a frustrated competitor yelled, “Who killed me?” and the answer rang out from the crowd: “It was Alex.”
The response sparked a wave of excitement as people crowded around Alex, celebrating his performance as he locked in a third-place finish. Overwhelmed by the energy, Alex turned to his dad and said, “I don’t want the day to end.”
That moment marked a turning point, not just for Alex, but for his father too.
“It was like a switch flipped,” Alex reflects in the documentary. “I think that was the moment he realised I could actually make something of this. After that, he started supporting it a lot more.”
