Epic Games Sues Notorious OCE Fortnite Cheat Seller

3 min read

OCE Fortnite cheat supplier “Mirrored” has officially been sued by Epic Games for selling cheat software. Long viewed as a meme figure within the OCE Fortnite community, going viral in 2020 for high-pitched rants at teammates and emotional outbursts during competitive matches, Mirrored openly bragged about using cheat hardware, specifically a DMA (Direct Memory Access) card, while frequently flaunting the money he claimed to have earned from selling cheats.

Epic Games confirmed in a recent tweet that they’ve taken legal action against Mirrored and have permanently banned him from Fortnite. Following the announcement, Mirrored quickly removed all his posts related to cheating.

As part of the legal action, Epic has also forced Mirrored to issue a public apology, similar to their case against “RepulseGod.” In 2024, Epic sued RepulseGod after it was discovered that OCE Player "Forbes" had played on his account using cheats, resulting in a fraudulent qualification for the FNCS Global Championship in Copenhagen. Epic not only disqualified the spot and required a public apology, but also forced RepulseGod to repay all earnings he had made from Fortnite competitive events.

While the exact penalties in Mirrored’s case haven’t been confirmed, it’s likely that Epic will seek similar financial consequences, potentially requiring him to repay profits earned through cheat sales.

This lawsuit marks a significant moment as Epic Games continues to step up its crackdown on cheating within the Fortnite community, especially in the Oceanic region. With legal action now being pursued, it’s clear that Epic is serious about protecting fair play and will not hesitate to go after those who break the rules. Cheaters and those considering using or selling cheats should think twice, consequences now extend far beyond just in-game bans.
