Australian content creator Kathleen “Loserfruit” Belsten has announced her engagement to longtime partner Marcus, marking one of the biggest personal milestones for one of OCE’s most beloved creators.

The couple shared the news on August 3, 2025, through a simple post on X featuring two photos and a single heart emoji.

The Proposal Story

A week later, on August 9, the pair uploaded a Q&A-style YouTube video titled We Got Engaged!!, where they revealed how it all happened. Marcus had been secretly planning the proposal for nearly a year, considering different spots around their home before choosing the piano as a sentimental setting.

To set the mood, he played their favorite couple’s song Claude, then jokingly pulled out a Cheezel in a ring box to throw Kath off. Moments later, he dropped to one knee with the real custom ring and asked: “Kathleen Belsten, will you marry me?” Her stunned reaction, captured in a now-iconic photo, showed pure shock before she said yes.

Marcus added another surprise by gifting her a replacement for a heart-shaped necklace she had lost, an anniversary gift she had worn daily.

The ring itself is far from traditional. Designed with pink sapphires in a gradient style.

Future Plans

In their video, the couple teased some fun wedding ideas. Lachlan will not be officiating, no last name changes are planned, but Marcus hinted at reaching out to Epic Games for a potential Fortnite-themed ring or wedding skin. They’re considering filming the ceremony vlog-style for fans, although it won’t be a public event.

When asked about family plans, Kath said she hopes for a big family with five kids, while Marcus, who just turned 30, agreed he’s ready and hopes their first is a girl.

Their relationship “secret”? Open communication, monthly check-ins, and, as Marcus quipped, “good sex.”
